ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hot off the lot

Just signed the papers and handed over the money on Tuesday, and I'm ecstatic with my new ride! I've been a 4x4 guy since I got my license, but after 17 years, I just couldn't do it anymore. I got bored with pickup trucks, and to be honest, I haven't used them as trucks in years. This week, I traded in my '98 Mazda B4000 SE Cab Plus 4x4 (189,000 miles) and picked up a 1993 Accord EX 5-Speed Coupe. I effectively doubled my gas mileage and got a much more fun ride in the bargain. It's in such immaculate condition that my mother likes it better than her '07 Corolla S, and it cost me a quarter what she paid!

So far I've got a short ram intake, clear corners, two-tone anodized pedals and a Type-R style shift knob with EL glow shift pattern on the way, along with a dealer shop service manual on CD. I've got a few more things planned, but I'd like to keep most of it under the hood. If I do paint it, it'll be a subtle color (maybe Black Cherry), and the only real visible additions will be the clear corners, probably some red/clear JDM tails, lowering springs, wheels and possibly a CF hood, although I'm not entirely sold on that one. I've always been more of a sleeper fan. I've been thinking catback, cam, upgraded fuel system, AFC and a turbo kit with a stage 1 clutch. Simple, not too radical, but still plenty for the area I live in, especially since it'll be a daily driver. I don't want to get crazy and sacrifice too much reliability. I'll be sure to update as things progress, and check out more of the rides as I get time. I'm liking what I see so far!

More photos will be coming soon. I'm having a lot of computer troubles lately, mainly in getting the photos off the camera and into the computer. I've been having to use other people's computers to download the pics, burn them onto a disc and get them to my system that way. Serious pain in the ass, trust me.

The car has 81,000 pampered miles on the ticker. It was traded in by a retired gentleman from NY. He moved up to my area a couple of years ago, and this past winter he slid under the back end of a pickup. The hood and valve cover were replaced, but it still needs headlights and corners. (Both broken.) I installed the intake yesterday (what a pain to get the old one out!) and I DEFINITELY dig the sound when I get into her!
