ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    shaving the antenna

I was wondering if you shave the antenna what would be the best way to still recive a signal? I've seen hidden antennas for sale in different car mags, but I didn't know if these work well or if there just a wast of time.

or you can get a s2k conversion or look alike s2k antenna and not waste money/time on shaving it unless you are dead set on doing so. as far as other antenna I have no clue.
    F22b + MP1A = mad fun for me now. . .

You pick up FM good, but no AM at all? My guess would be your head unit.

                    the trick

if you have descent insurance drop a hammer in your back window and report it. Then when you get the new one tell them you want the window with the antennaes built in and insurance takes care of everything!!

Tryed it at the cinepark (Dont know how to say that in english.....'cinepark'.... the place where you watch movies in your car on a giant screen )
and everything sounded nice......Sure that I was near the antenna.....but am/fm radio works great too

strange... you still get good signal even without an antenna?

i hear the stick-on hidden antenna discussed in the link 4CYLPOWER92 posted works really well...

btw cinepark = "drive-in" or "drive-in movies" which i guess wouldnt make sense to somebody who doesnt normally speak english, but thats what we call it

EDIT: I wrote the next line because I am retarded and like to repeat things others have said like it's new:
I guess I'll give the tidbit of the day: they're "drive-ins" or drive-in movie theaters here, but I don't think there are very many left -it was so 40 years ago. There's actually still one about 2 miles from my apt., though!

I remove my antenna system on my lighter cars and bring my own music, which weighs less than my antenna and doesn't suck.

most likely, also most new aftermarket decks arent designed with am as a priority so they suck.
