ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I've had mine done twice. Maaco is the name, not macco.

Anyway, the quality is just fine for a car that gets driven regularly. I wasn't pleased with their bodywork, though. All Maaco shops are franchises, so be sure to do your homework on them. They differ vastly from shop to shop.

The only reson i thought macco is because they quoted me a price of $713 and i have a friend who owns a bodys shop and they said because of the size of the Accords there price was like $1700

Had my accord painted there, turned out pretty good... at first. Shortly after the front of the car started getting chips from rocks and what not, rest of the car was pretty nice though. I had little overspray and pretty good body work

i got my car painted at maaco just cuz i knew the guy doing it. I did all the prep work myself. All i got them to do was clean it and paint it. I was going to originally do it myself using their booth but they told me i was gonna screw up for sure.

again make sure you know how good of a job that maaco does. each will be different, which has been mentioned above.

some pics in my other thread if u wanna check it out.

Their paint work isn't terrible. Their bodywork and prep work is terrible, which is why most of their paint jobs don't last very long. If you do your own prep work, and you do it right, a paint job from Maaco can last for years.

The general consensus is prep work makes the paint job. Of all these threads you usually have people who got good and bad from them. IMO your best bet would be to find one of the better locations then strip it and do the prep work on your own. Order as many coats of clear coat as you can.
