ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Help with simulated frosted glass

Basically...does anyone know of a spray paint or some sort of product that adheres to clear plastic and gives it a frosted glass look and still lets a decent amount of light through?

well this is gonna have to be a paint or coating of some kind because the piece is too small to wrap with vinyl or anything like that....what i'm wanting to do is, i've got two 12" LED light strips, and i wanted to mount them into the rear deck, or the rear pillars and then do the frosted thing so the light is more even and soft looking.

i know they make what you are talking about. a buddy used it on plexi glass for some models (architecture school) he did. What I always did was sand the plastic to give the frosting. steel wool will give you a very soft translucency.

          good luck.

I have two LED light strips that used to be behind my grill, but I took them off, and I'm going to mount them in either the pillar behind the rear seat, or in the rear deck. They wont just sit on the surface though, I want to cut a hole and put them behind, and fill in the space with some plastic that looks like frosted glass so the light isnt so intense, and looks smoother. So basically....just some fancy blue lights on the interior. I really could put them anywhere besides those two spots though, I have to think about it, but either way, I want to try to pull this frosted glass effect off.

lol @ mike, thanks heh. I realized where i was gonna put them is illegal, so now i think i may take out the back seat, and cut a hole in the carpet right below the front of the rear seat....still using the frosted glass thing off course
