ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    ITR Tire Size?

    Ok...

I just ordered a set of ITRs . Im trying to order tires for em but Im a bit confused.

    195/55/R15

ok 195 is the Width?/ 55 is how thick it is/ and I know what the 15 is.

So, arnt all the 96 spec ITRs the same width? Is it the width of the tire or the rim?

and 55...If I get 40's, that would be thinner right? it will get thinner as the #s get smaller?

    Thanks,
    -Lam

Distance between inside of flanges rounded to nearest 1/2-inch. Ensure that wheel width is proper for tire size you intend to mount on it. All tire sizes have minimum and maximum wheel width limits. Correct wheel width is about 75% of tire cross section width.
you can use different widths on the same rim. within the limits of course...

I think 195 is how wide and 55 is sidewall? Anyhow I took 195 50 15 off my GSR blades and put on my prelude si wheels. They seem to look too low profile for the CB7. The 195 are probally best for civics and integras. I had 205 50 which looked and handeled better and would maybe go to a 205 55 next time. 40's would be hardly any sidewall on a 195. Stock 14's came with 195 60. I wouldnt go any smaller than 195 50 or any bigger than 205 60 but thats from my experience.

I put this post in the "Noob" Section for a reason

There always has to be a wise ass pickin on us.

                  So what you do is:

Track his post, and when he post something (that you find to be) dumb, you can bash on him

                  KARMA my friend, KARMA...
