ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Cheap way to change carpet color

Want to know a quick and cheap way to dye your carpet for your car?
Go to Publix and purchase a box of rit dye.

    What you need:
    Box of Rit dye
    Spray bottle
    Water
Gloves, so you don't dye your skin
Rub in what you spray as well...
    and thats it

Pull your carpet out, and mix your rit dye with water, and spray on your carpet. Now it depends how deep you want your color... it took me three bottles to go from dark blue to black. Also rub in what you spray.. so be advised it will take some time. and at first the carpet will be "crunchy" but it will take time to get that out, its fine!

There's already a DIY on here that summarizes an extensive guide found on a different Honda forum. It includes pictures as well.

I've noticed you're making a pretty strong push for 30 posts and doing so by asking questions easily found with the search function and posting comments redundant elsewhere in the respective threads. Your post count can be easily reset if you post whore your way to 30 posts.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Use hot water and add a bit of salt and it works better. I've never pulled the carpet out to dye it. Just the seats and trim panels.

I never tried to dye Vinyl, would you have to sand it down? If so, would the texture stay the same?

No sanding just cleaning and degreasing. They have vinyl dye in a rattle can not to be confused with that plastic paint

Wow, what a idiot! You don't do this shit in your house, do it in the garage or driveway. I did it on my front lawn, and it dyed the grass black. You figure people have common sense when you post these things on the internet, but they don't.
