6th gen rear visor and summer heat

Oh, I just thought because the heat made the 3M weaker, so installing it in the winter would make it stronger or something lol..

No, the cold would make the 3m not stick as well. Most stick on things don't stick very good in the cold. Just my experience. And the cold makes plastics more brittle and less ply-able. Hence it would be harder to install in the winter.

I would say it all comes down to if you want it permanently. I would use an adhesive strip for that. If not, just use the 3M double sided tape. Now I am not trying to thread jack but for future reference what prep work goes behind putting a rear window visor on?

Anyone know how I long I should keep the visor out of the sun or rain after installing it or if I even need to keep it out of those elements?

I'm going to prep the rear windshield glass by washing and scrubbing off any debris then wipe it down with windex and finally wipe it down with some rubbing alcohol

That's a little extreme but it should help I guess...
I used my own spit to clean the areas and that was about a year and a half ago and still no problems. (l was lazy)
I would think windex would do good enough on its own honestly.

Try looking on craigslist some local guy over here sells all of the visors even the rear one for 75 with 3m tape

Nope never had problems with heat as I don't park my car In Direct sun. I have cf parts on my car I don't want sun damage. U shouldn't wait too long to install the visor after cleaning it. Dirt, debris will get on the glass and make things harder longer u wait.
