ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    hood latch wont lock

So I took off this piece in between my radiator support brackets to paint it blue. I went to put it all back together(all 6927193 10mm bolts) and now my hood won't latch all the way down. I'm pretty sure I put it all back together the way it was. I've taken it apart again and again trying to figure it out, and its just not locking. It holds it but I don't wanna get on the interstate and have my hood fly up and away. Any insight? It would be greatly appreciated

Quick question, does the hood popper handle inside the car fall back into place after you pull it? Or does it stick out?

I took it all apart and I'm putting it back after trying to adjust some things. I have to be at work in 30 minutes so I'm gonna cross my fingers that noone notices my hood is open...

Maybe the latch is a little sticky, in the image I circled an "arm". Try to press the "arm" down. For some reason photobucket won't let me post the "altered" image, sorry, please follow link. It's the first image...http://s1139.photobucket.com/albums/n550/Davo_Clark/

              fixed it.

I don't know why this worked, but it did. I took the locking mechanism off after a lot of examining and I figured out that one spring was seemingly keeping it from locking... so I removed it. Now it locks no problem... I feel like this is a problem as honda wouldn't have put it on there if they didn't need it, but its working for me... if I face any problems ill report back. I might post pics tomorrow of what I did to fix it.
