Wheel spacer for prelude si fanblades

    Hey guys,

I just bought a set of fanblades and im going to use them for autox or/and daily driving. I heard they have a little too much offset and i was wondering if it would be smart to buy spacers for them. I was looking at 5mm spacers if that sounds correct?! Anyways if i do need them can anyone direct me in installing them? im a newbie when it comes to wheels and tires.

    Thanks

    TITO

to install you just take of the wheel, put spacer in, put back the wheel and tighten the lugs and you're done

OP is asking if the fan blades just fit right on or will he need spacers to make them fit, not about balancing the wheels. IE the mkII supra rims, those do need spacers to fit...I thought sawblades were direct fit...but I don't actually know

so we do need spacers for these wheels ? I didnt use any and I hear like a hitting noise when I turn to the left hard. Hmmm it just doesnt seem like there is a whole lot of the lug nut to thread to once 5mm is taken away.

you probably bent the dust shield for your brakes, it's really easy to do. Or, you have play in your wheel bearing.

You would know if you needed spacers because your wheel wouldn't move at all. If you want your wheel to stick out a little more (seems to be a trend these days) then add a spacer. Other than that you don't need them for those wheels. If you are hearing shit when turning something else is going on. You should jack the car up and turn your wheel to the left and peep game up under there.

They are a direct fit. I have had prelude fan blades and saw blades on my 91 ex with no fitment issues at all

My blades without spacers rub on my front sway bar end link washers, but no biggy they'll wear down eventually right

I have fanblades on my car right now. Of course, I haven't yet driven the car with them on... so I can't say for sure.

Honestly, if you plan on putting your car through the abuse of autox, don't use wheels that require spacers.

I have Si fanblades as well and they rub. Just like CB JoeyG said, it's not dust cover rub, it's the wheels rubbing the sway bar washers. It grinds and it doesn't sound good but it will go away.

If I had blades and they rubbed I would look into a different tire size before putting spacers in.
