ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Projectors in fluted glass might look a little weird.

But, I'm going to hold off on "for sure" comments till I see them lit up!

    Awesome idea!

Just take the stock lenses and sand them till they are smooth, which should make them clear.
        wat?

If you can find a way to get rid of the fluted glass...like make a new lense somehow out of clear plastic...it would make the output much better!!

or build a shroud around the projector and run it with no lense ...I think that might look pretty good, if you could build a shroud for the projector and paint it black, it would look almost oem IMO

find out the dimensions of the projector...and then head to home depot or canadian tire and find stuff that you can make a shroud out of...its not that hard, you just need to look at everything in the store and see if you could use it to make something

just brainstorming but wut if ya i do put some sort of rectangular shroud in there with a separate circular shroud for the lense all prolly siliconed together an mounted.
Paint the rectangular shroud black an the other silver or colormatch. Shud i fill in the gaps/corners will fiberglass or bondo(aiming for as clean a look as possible)???
Also the rim where the glass wud be i wud fill in also somehow amd sand smooth.
U think Water and such wud be an issue??

                What do u think???

yeah try and make it as clean as you can...it might be hard to fiberglass/bondo in that small of an area though

I dont think water should be an issue, as long as the fog lense is seated properly in the projector I dont think water would get in...

its definitely been done, but ive never seen it on a CB fog lense. its just a lot of manual labor, to sand all of that out, and then to polish it until its clear... working on the INSIDE of the lense...
