ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

the dry ice will remove more heat from the panel, it is frozen c02 and is -170*f i think. the stuff in the air duster is liquid co2 (or liquid propane, or similar) and is not nearly as cold.

Canned Air is not CO2 i think

            according to wiki it's
"liquified difluoroethane, trifluoroethane, or tetrafluoroethane in a spray can"

I dont know what that mean Not a chem major.

just have to since i'm a bio tutor
difluroethane is 2 flourines on an ethane molecule tri is three and tetra is four!!!
but if you look at the side lens for the blinker the dent is right in the middle if it at the very front of the fender.its really thin about 1/2 - 3/4 inch from top to bottom and 2-3 inches long (from front of fender back)

It can be done if done properly. If not you can fuck it up. Doesnt hurt to try since its already fucked anyway. Get some heat on the fender around the area moving in a circular pattern and immediately put the dry ice on there. Thats the proper way to do it. Heat expands the molecules while the immediate cold makes them contract and eventually pop out.

so i apply heat to the dent in a circular motion to heat the area right? after that i'm assuming that the ice is placed in the middle to have and even contraction of the metal? or is it also in a circular motion?

Dry ice works wonderfully. There is an article on this dry ice website. The main steps are:
                    1. Heat the dent with a hairdryer
                    2. Apply dry ice to the center of the dent
                    3. Sit back and watch it work (you may need to apply 2 or 3 times to get it to work all the way)

                    Hope this helps!
