You do realize that the Chevy Silverado is capable of about 20mpg and hauling a SHIT TON more than this thing? I don't care if my truck gets 70mpg, if it can't haul anything, what's the point?
why really?
well, because its a toyota...
the point is: doesn't mean you get a truck mean you have to haul

Not neccesarily. I hauled some stuff in my brother-in-laws 2008 Chevy Silverado, and got about 20mpg highway.
that is just the same thing you wrote...

Yes, 20mpg and 300-something ft-lb of torque. I don't see this Toyota doing this, and even if it does, the batteries would be flat in no time, negating the advantage of a hybrid as you'd have to use the gasoline motor to charge them back up and/or power the vehicle. Also, I realize I stated it twice, one was my opinion, and the other was personal experience to refute owequitit's comment, thank you very much.

clam down...
i know that "Chevy" are good cars and trucks...
but sorry, its not me...everyone is just not the same..
again, i don't haul so it doesn't matter...and i'm not a rich guy so i don't want to pay high gas...
That's interesting, because in order to move my swap stuff in the back of a Chevy, downhill, at 75-80mph steady, I didn't get 20MPG. More like 15-17.
Besides, 20 is painful next to 35.
P.S. getting on the gas means romping on it. Most LSx engines don't do 20 when romped.
I DID have a tail wind that day, as well as being on a rural highway (55mph) so that may have skewed the milage slightly. But 15-20 sure beats the 10-13mpg my old 5.7L 88' GMC got!

Well YEAH! That goes without saying. You may as well just pour gas out the window!
I don't expect a truck to get as good of MPG, but it cost me like $80 for the whole trip, when my CB made it on less than half that. LOL!
It is kind of funny, because I have a friend with an LS2 GTO (AWESOME car BTW), and he always laughs and says "I get about 20MPG. If I drive really easy." His mileage drops to the low teens if he is romping. Which luckily, you probably aren't romping a 400HP GTO for very long. LOL!
