As it warms up, and I get more money, I'll begin. The first plan is to get the new engine in and just get it running. I might or might not convert to OBD1 while I do the swap (cpmike will hopefully lend a hand there!). OBD1 will make tuning for the turbo a bit easier, since I have some understanding of that process.

I'm redoing the interior at the moment. Dashboard is going to be replaced (the replacement is stored in the car now... getting it off is a bitch!). I'm de-tinting the windows as I get the time (steaming it off, so I can't do it on freezing days). I'm working on my Rustoleum paintjob in my basement now... practicing on a spare CB7 hood... the car will eventually get that paintjob (blue and black is the plan)

Turbo may be a ways off, unless I land a well-paying job. That is the eventual plan, however. SOMEDAY I may go for my crazy RWD plans... but it's unlikely. By the time I could do that, I could probably afford a Skyline (by that time, they'll likely be cheaper here, since they'll be 20 years old... that R32 that is)

But yeah, I plan on getting this thing on the road by late Spring. The CB7 will come off for a major overhaul once I get the 3rd gen road-worthy. Acclude91 took care of just about everything but the interior and the motor... Other than those things, it's in fantastic shape.

This spring for sure I'm going to start back on my practice painting today, so that'll be underway. I'll probably replace the driver's door and hatch... door has a spot of rust (only rust on the car) and the hatch has some weirdo dents. The roof has a few dings thanks to my walnut tree as well... but maybe some filler or something can fix those! they aren't major, but the car is in such good shape... i'd like for it to be close to perfect!

At least hoods are easy... and you can replace them with CF so you don't have to worry about paint matching! Roof dents suck! My own fault, though. I parked it under a walnut tree!

Ok, pulled my passenger seat apart... excalibur02 helped me get the cloth off of it today. It might be a little more complicated to do than I originally thought!

Yeah, I was in the middle of it, cursing at the damn thing, when he showed up. After pulling on the headrest clip for 10 minutes, we finally found the screw that held it in place!

Those seat covers are crazy complicated! There are springs, rods, and little circular clips holding them in place! I wonder if it'll survive the washing machine...

I just paid for a B17 intake mani!

Can't afford ITB's right now... Can't afford hotdogs right now. Soon though... Depending on what kind of job I get, this car may see some nifty stuff.

I pulled the upholstery off the passenger seat, and it's probably too complicated for me to re-cover... I never realized there were so many clips, springs, rods, etc... involved in upholstering an automotive seat! Who knows... I may get creative. My mom has been wanting to get a sewing machine for a while. This might prompt her to do it. I'm going to clean up the covers I have now and bring them to her. If she thinks we can do it, I might give it a shot. (when you need fabric work... mothers are the ones to go to!)
