Its gonna Take Longer to warm up.I dont see how it would be a danger.

as long as its a Temp Fix it should be ok

I was running most of my cars with out t-stats,till winter hit.T-stat keeps ur car warm inside

Yea i rmemeber hearing something of this...

there were dangers involved but i guess a temp fix(no longer then a week or two) would be fine but my take on it is "if its suppose to be there it serves a purpose" esp an important part like a tstat.

IIRC, this was a thing to do on American Muscle cars....our cars are a little more picky.

Summer time its no problem at all. Its just the coolant will be circulating full time. Its not like there wont be any coolant flow.

Better overcooling than overheating. Just don't run without it longer than necessary. I'd never run mine without one unless I was in the same situation. Engine temps all over the place, slow warmups, oil temps too low (moisture not burning off), running richer, emissions systems not functioning as intended, etc etc.

Its fine to run a car without it, but when you do get the cash, i would get one just for precaution. invest in a low temp one aswell!

you can actually overheat the car without one because the coolant doesnt sit in the radiator long enough to actually cool off. If people are permanently removing it for whatever reason they usually get a restrictor to slow the flow down a bit to prevent problems.

                            thanks for the response, guys

we've found that the constant overheating is due to a plugged radiator. it overheating is way to abrupt and constant, and too quick.

                            radiator just bursts.

                            new radiator here we come.
