fyi, 460 isn't an FE motor. it's a straight BB. the FE (ford/edsil) motors 352, 360, 390 were most common. using the exh manifold to complet the head. but that car is still hot none the less. i love the 60's ford. my 1st car was white '67 fairlane 2dr w/ 289. w/ ac and power steering added as a dealer option. i love that car.

if i'm not mistaken you could swap the 95-99 towncar stuff to it, get a sohc 4.6 w/ air ride. that would be the shit. swap in at a later date a 4.6 cobra motor. dohc supercharged ride FTW!!

You're right on the FE/BB.. I think I was just up too long and my mind began to melt. I had thought about a late model 4.6 with a s/c but I'm just going for raw size/power on this car. It's a blvd cruiser and I just wanted one of the larger displacement Ford engines I could get.

holy mammoth! thats a gigantic car. im not really a fan of it, but that shouldnt discourage you... its going to look nice when done, i like the black on red for this type of car.

you should update to the grille and headlights that you have in the rendering, instead of the ones that come on it... i like those better.

sweet man, i love it! reminds me of my buddy's 67 Fairlane. the 289 was gutless, but the Holley 4 barrell helped. of course it sucked gas like it was going out of style. i remember he had the mad JDM Enkei rims on it y0!

            good luck on everything.

a good 289 in a midsize car (like a '67 fairlane) isn't/wasn't that bad. i loved mine. i had just the 2bbl auto and it got 17mpg (hwy) 8mpg (town) gas @ .79 a gallon in '92 i didn't care. $20 would fill it and leave playing money. but now, noway not as a DD but a weekend car fookin right.
this is identical to my old '67

That's sweet, my first car/truck was a '69 Ford F-250 Camper Special. I took it from rust bucket, to a gleaming beauty. 360 motor w/Holley 4bbl, flowmater dual exhaust..... it was great. Shoot, I even had a gun rack.
