Purchased a 95 Accord EX 4 Nothing

I went out and brought a 95 Ex today for nothing. I saw the car from a distance and thought to myself that I would sell my old one and keep the new one or even use this car for a motor swap. As soon as I walked in the door to show my wife she went up the wall. Screaming that I have too many cars as it is with clutches and yada yada yada yada yada yada yada yada yada. Argued for about a 3 hours for I finally gave in cause if your married you will loose the argument no matter if your right or wrong. So I told her I would leave it at my job until I can find someone that can do the motor swap.

What do you think I should do?

how much did u get the car for? how many cars do u have? is the key. i would keep it for family affairs and such. use the 4th gen for smacking those ricers on the street.

I have 7 cars Atm only 2 that I drive which are the Red Legend and the Grey Honda. The other cars are how can I say not visually appealing to me anymore. I am even getting tired of the red legend in a way. I never look to sell them cause people always want to low ball you when u want to sell them but offer more when they want it. so I normally hold on until someone offers me cash and if it sounds good I sell it. But this car was a steal I think for a cool 800 bucks. It needs 2 front fenders and a front bumper along as always a clutch job wouldnt hurt. Everything else works perfect. Its already dropped with neuspeed springs,17 inch rims with a about 75 percent tire life left,exhaust and CAI. Those parts alone could sell for a easy 600 bucks recouping the money that I spent.

i kind of understand how you feel - i have 4 cb7's at the moment and my parents are on my case about getting rid of them... so the way i see it, i just need to pick which one i want to make my main, personal daily driver and use all the rest to pick and pull "upgrades" from, and replacing them with stock parts, like if you like the wheels on the new car grab them and stick your old ones back on the new car, if you have some way to, swap your stock motor into the 5th gen and put the sohc vtec in yours. the "downgraded" cars will still sell for the same price if the new owner doesnt care about it, and most dont. and if you spend a little bit and fix whatever may be wrong with them (fender + bumper), they will sell for much more than what you paid for it, then also the cars will be gone, your wife will be happy, and youll still have your favorite car with a few free upgrades

yes... it is time to get rid of some of the cars.

For a standard family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children), 3 cars is enough. 1 car for the wifey to daily drive, 1 car for the man to drive, and a 3rd car for a backup in case one of the cars is down for repairs or a wreck (while the car is in the body shop).

If you have teenagers that are of driving age, add 1 car per driver.

I agree with Big Body LX. Although 4 cars in our driveway/garage is kinda a bitch. Especially juggling them so that my mom can always park in the garage and be able to get out, if she has to work. She leaves at 5 am, so, yeah.

well not to be a show off but noone else in my household drives but myself. The Mx-3 needs a clutch,The white legend needs the timing belt because I took the old one off but never put new one on, My Caddy goes nowhere but on local drives,The Honda I drive the most but it sits home most of the time since I have my flatbed truck which I drive during the week, my red legend was suppose to be for my wife who hasnt gained the courage to get her license The 79 coupe deville is a straight classic that will never get taken out outside & sits in storage, The ford escort is being driven by my friends daughter since she started a job in the middle of the afternoon but will soon purchase the car once she gets a tax return.

The 94 escort was my backup backup since I really hate the car but got it so cheap.The white legend and mx-3 are gonna go by this summer since my wife's enlistment in the USAF is coming to a end, so I know we will be moving soon and the total reason why she doesnt want to have all these cars taken.

no offense, but why does she care about your cars having clutches if she doesnt even have a license? anyways, fix up the 5th gen and sell for a profit, the 4th gen handles better anyways, those 5th gens have fat asses.

Well after further dicussing the car problem with the wife I opted to sell the car. But in return to making her happy I brought her a new beater. Since I know she would think it was cute





Now there is no problem with me getting another one. I had to butter her up by letting her get something so that I could get something.
