first street racing fatality in my city

well last night about 100 of my friends and i witnessed the first street racing crash in our city. we were cruisin through the downtown when a civic and an accord whipped pass and decided to race at the next light. they were doing 120kmph around an S curve in the road and the civics back end swung out to the right. he then over corrected and ended up turning his car completely sideways. the drivers door was directly in line with a tree. the car hit the tree at around 100kmph and then hit an apartment. the driver was kill on impact and the passenger is in critical condition. the driver of the accord left the scene.

it's made me think alot about speeding and racing and i really changed my priorities on what i want to do to my car.

it's a shame to see somebody die right in front of you for something as stupid as a race, he didn't deserve to die. he just made a mistake. it's thanksgiving here in Canada this weekend, and it's said to think that while most people are giving thanks for what they have there is a family out there suffering from a terrible loss.

i had my camera on me and i took about 20 pictures of the car and the scene imediatly after it happened, but out of respect for the victim and his family i am going to hand those pictures to the police and then delete them from my hard drive. here is the one picture i decided to keep though to remind me that street racing isn't worth it.

    take it to the track

those people couldnt probably drive in the first place. People who can drive no matter whut know thier car and will not exceed its limitation if you cant drive for shit on the street yes take it to the track.

          Such a shame
This is one of the many reasons I keep my racing at the track only.

well.. that accord won't be driven any longer.. by him at least. he got his license taken away for 5 years. plus his car it's conficated by the police and he is fined.. i just hope people start to learn not to race inside the city.. he could have kill a lot more people..

                      race at your own risk....

people are still going to street race no matter how many licenses are revoked, how many cars are totaled, and how many lives are taken from us.....

R.I.P. my prayers go out to his friends, family and comrades. As for drivers skill, everyone of u has made a stupid mistake and escaped by the grace of god . DO NOT simply equate it to the driver cause it could have been any one of us. And it was on a public street at high speeds. No one is perfect but i bet just about everyone of us has hit the speed governer. Thats risking your life and others right there.

There are dos and there are donts, and street racing on an s curve definitly is a dont.

But damn hats fucked up, I give them and their family my condolences.

I highly doubt it's the first street racing fatality in Winnipeg. This is the type of non-thought that got THOSE kids killed.
