by this time it was getting dark, so i quickly ran around the campus taking pictures of the various cottages around the main loop. I labelled it "C" in the center of the map. most of the cottages were identical, so im not going to bother distinguishing between them. we didnt look inside them, as we did a long time ago, only to find emptiness and vandalism.

This is the Whitman Building, labelled "W" on the map. pretty sure it was just another cottage.

just a quick shot of my car parked at the church, labelled with a cross on the map.

This was the Stewart Building, labelled "S" in the dead center of the map. it is obviously burnt out, im not sure how this happened, but there was a fence around it. there was nothing interesting in the basement, just empty rooms.

thats awesome that u took note on the architecture and construction behind these buildings. most people would go there and see right past all that, when it is one of the coolest aspects of places like this.

have you been up to Dudleytown in CT? theres no buildings but its pretty creepy

I checked out a cool new place over the weekend! My friend John found out about it, and having brought it up I ran it by some of my other exploring friends and they had heard of it as well. upon doing some research about it, we organized an expedition.

                          Its called:

                          Grossingers Country Club
and it is part of the Concord Hotel line of resorts, and is somewhat close by, but is disguised by trees and surrounding golf courses. So we headed straight to the campus and walked into the main entrance.

it was actually pretty large, let me start off with a current aerial photo:

as you can tell, the majority of the main buildings were centralized and connected together. this made for a very different feel, where once you ENTER the building, youre able to check out most of the buildings without ever leaving. there were a few things along the outskirts, like other hotel buildings and the pool and stuff. the coolest part was the roof, where they all interconnected and made for a strange landscape-looking surface to run around on up top. ill jump right into the pictures!

ill start with a couple panoramic shots that i made. excuse the low quality of all the pictures, im still working with my cellphone here... thing gets washed out in any light conditions other than perfectly midrange. ugh

                          ( COMING SOON!!!! )

                          almost to the exit!

so we found the staircase and made our way up to the 9th floor (this is looking back down)

i lugged a 17" monitor ALL the way up 9 flights of stairs (that hurt), just so we could see what it sounded like after it falls 9 flights down an elevator shaft.... muahahahaha

the roof outlet, my friend john walking up to the Elevator machine room

the little room on the roof is what powered the elevators inside.

im assuming there used to be some sort of deck and stairs on the side here.

this entire building (at one point) was covered in blue insulation panels, since the building was entirely walk-in freezer rooms!
