value to me, yes, sometimes. but most of the coolest finds are usually completely rotted out from the moisture/sitting, or already broken or destroyed...

some places we find tons of computer equipment, like stacks of original IBM PS/2s and such. unfortunately 32mhz is useless now though lol.

couple various cool finds here and there, moreso oddities that clutter up my room...

here are some pictures of a small abandoned house we found and checked out in Florida, NY. this was a few months ago at least, some hardware in my computer died and they were stuck on the hard drive. i got them all resized and uploaded, but in no real particular order... this place is pretty generic so i dont think any of the pictures really need explanation.

alright people, sorry for the delay, but here are my pictures of the

                                MARLBORO STATE PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL

we have known about this psychiatric hospital for a while now, but being so far away (nearly 3 hours) its been mostly out of reach for us, until pretty recently when we had an opportunity to check it out, while we were staying with a friend only 10 minutes away. this place is actually quite large, and reminds me of a mix between Hudson River Psych's structure and architecture, but Letchworth Village's campus layout, utilizing a centralized administration building along with separate cottage loops around the outside. the main buildings we checked out were a couple of the outermost patient cottages, a couple little outbuildings, and most importantly a 5-floor (basement included) 5-wing "New Hope" Substance Abuse and Addiction Treatment facility.

unfortunately the pictures are in no real order, as they were resized and numbered based on their overall dimensions, not the order they were taken in. though i tried to make it so the more interesting and exterior pictures came first. also, disregard the incorrect 2005 date-stamp, those were taken with somebody elses camera. the ones without the white date stamp were taken by my cellphone.

so here we go! sit down and sit back, because there are 100 pictures below...

here is an aerial shot of everything:
