pretty rare that this happens. usually due to a bad pully or tensioner broken or not tensioned correctly. Greddy belts are not made by greddy they are made by gates which are some of the best belts in the world! but yea i would have stuck with oem on this one but im positive this is not the belts fault.

That doesn't look like a belt problem. That looks like an incorrect tension/installation problem. Even the cheapest timing belt on the planet won't walk to the outside of the pulley just because it sucks.watComment

I vote tensioner as well. A bad belt would snap. The ONLY thing that could be the belt's fault is if it were slightly too long... but that is unlikely, given the source of it.
Regardless, it's good you caught it! Replacing the belt is a LOT better than replacing the motor!
