u should see how many 4thgen accords are driving around my school.. commuters .. me being one.. when i wrecked my first cb7 .. i was thinking the same thing u were. i mean i am in school, and i can't be driving around a car that will keep costing me money to maintain it, and what not. I was thinking a Fit. New, a honda(reliable) and good on gas, i weighed the cost of a new car for the next 2 years, and me just buying another cb7.. i bought another cb7, because if anything went wrong with it.. cb7tuner.com is here to help.. lol

If your going to school you dont need the added stress of having to worry about a car payment....School can be stressful enough without having worry about paying for a car

Just save up that 500 bux a month or watever youd spend on that car payment....then 5 months later you have enough for an h22 +lsd tranny swap

I agree, you're a fool if you let her go now, live with the bad for a bit, I know its painful from experience, but you'll be the better for it later save some cash for her! Build a budget!

Also, all acura's are EXPENSIVE....whoever has told you otherwise is a lying S.O.B.

I've been in your situation before. I do go to school and I did feel the need to have a car that I can just drive and be happy. For this purpose I bought an Integra, lowered exhaust, already a nice b17a1 in it. But I still wasn't happy. I am a pure BMW enthusiast and so It just didn't satisfy me like I wanted it too although I do appreciate GS-R's.

I know it may be hard but I'm saying, live with it, Or start over with another accord of yours is too far gone.

I hope to see you in an accord at the next Ontario meet!

if you want a nice affordable car, that mods easily, isnt expensive nor hard to maintain, with plenty of nice features, get a CB7. oh wait, youve already got one, with no debt attached to it.

why do you need something different? anything that you buy for that price will still be a money pit, so hang onto the 3k and only use it as a buffer for major repairs that you normally wouldnt be able to afford otherwise. the amount youd end up spending per month on anything else would add up to more than youd spend now, considering you dont have a car loan, and accords are cheap on insurance. so you should have no problem being able to afford little things here and there to maintain and upgrade the car... once youre done with school and can afford more, maybe then would be a good time to upgrade to something nicer and newer (and more luxurious like you said)

                        Thanks Tom.

cp[mike], I appreciate the advice, but for the second time, I made this thread like a year ago. I've already decided on keeping the Accord.

I found it funny when people said it was cheap on insurance though. Anyone who said that should come up here and pay for insurance for a little while. If you're under 25, you get murdered on it. If you're around the 17-21 range, you can expect to pay around $300 a month, with a clean record! No matter what car you get, it's gonna be expensive. A 1991 Legend LS coupe I was checking out was going to be like $3 a month more then the Accord.
