It is actually not as uncommon as you think.

There was a 5th gen Accord a few years back that exceeded 1 million miles. I think it was like 1.2 million.

He had changed an alternator, one other thing, and the rest had been routine maintenance.

He was a County Tax Assessor in Maine, so it wasn't easy highway miles. And yes, Honda bought the car back and gave him a brand new Honda of his choice.

They have a local contest every year at our local Honda dealer, which is small, and the winner must be all original except for maintenance, and the winner usually lands somewhere between 600-700K. 300K doesn't even get you into the competition.

Damn that's insane! Why or how could you drive that much? I'd probably go crazy, unless the money was hella good.

Does a rebuild on the original engine mean it's still original, or by original they mean absolutely no rebuild? My Accord is over 350 000km right now...I think that's pretty good. Won't own it long enough to get that many miles/not sure if it'd make it lol.

Don't know how beautiful it is, stock civic...

Anyways. That's sweet. I mean free car from honda, that's pretty cool. And no car payments. Maybe it would be worth it to drive my car like a grandma... nah!
