Color Change question!

Ok guys, I never really thought about this but If I paint my car black, that means I'll have to change my title to show that the color have been changed but how soon do i have to do this? If I get pulled over by a cop without having my title or registration updated would that be a ticket or would I be in more trouble than that?

you have to change the title and tell your insurance company you change the color...most people don't change the title which mess's up the police when they run your plates and find that the color on the computer does not go with the color they are looking at.....so they will give you a hard time about it maybe even tow your shit talking about you stole the car or the vin number or that your car is a chop shot project....

Its a 17year old car, We are exempt from odometer regulations, you really think they care about the color of the car? Some people have 10 different color on their cars and never told the dmv.

I see your point but I just wanted to be on the safe side because already having a lowered honda with exhaust puts you on the most wanted list , i dont want to be hassled for my color if i get pulled over.

Technically your supposed to bc it says the colur on the title, and everything is supposed to match. But if you do say you got it painted a couple of days ago, and your in the process of getting it or something.

Im sure you could show them the inside of the trunk etc to show the old color
