First of all.....I'm not rich, I got my '92 accord ex handed down to me so I can commute back and forth from work to school.
My dream was to have a Integra Type-R (shrugs don't care for them now) but we are all not spoiled like some kids are these days. I pass by my old highschool and some kids are rolling in new 350z's, G35's, IS300's, you name it!
I'm very happy with my car. I remember my first modification I done to my car was the clear corner lights followed by the bumper lights....then yup you guessed it the 1st gen altezzas. Boy I felt good. I was so happy at the time because I wasn't just a carbon copy civic in my town that had all these things already......I grew up a little since highschool and dropped these things to go the JDM route...
Unfortunately today my poor Cb7 was hit today...... NO not a car accident, it was someones evil intention just to spoil my day to make them proud of themselves! I know my car didn't look like this before I went to school and I know it wasn't like this before I went to my last class. Another unfortunate thing is, I happened to park my car just out of the campus cameras view...so the culprit got away with it. Oh what part of my car got hit you ask? Well....it appears someone got an heavy object such as a hammer of some sort and bapped my JDM onepiece passenger side headlight!!!
Campus security argued that I probably hit a rock coming to school in the morning..... (how can they tell me this when I told them it was not like this this morning and b4 I parked my car and left for class???)
+ no small or even a fairly large rock is going to make an almost perfect concaved circle 2-3 inches apart and cave in my headlight without me hearing it within my car. My exhaust may be loud but I can hear the smallest pebbles hit my car from underneath and even my bumper.
I told them the worst a rock can do is probably "bullseye" my headlight or spidercrack it like a windshield.
Security has been really slacking these past few months at school. Usually there would be a guard doing laps around the campus all day. Since we have hot whether they just kickit around the cafeteria area!
I'm just a student 8days from graduating college hopefully looking forward to a great paying job so I can take my project car to the limits.....what hurts me is how much time and money I spent on my car and someone can just destroy it within seconds. Sometimes I ask myself is it even worth fixing up my car?
So far this year, my car has been egged, gum was put on my wiper wing, stupid notes were left under my wiper as well. WTF is wrong with these people???
I fix my car up to be different. Not to just please myself but maybe inspire others that are into the same thing....but I seriously feel nowadays that I took the "JDM route" sometimes my car attracts the wrong people. Whats going through their heads? Are they jealous of my car? Do they drive a $hitty car and want my car to resemble theirs?
I have no funk with anybody at my campus...but there are alot of wannabe racers and ricers at my school that give me one raised eyebrow look whenever they see me driving my car. There was a group of filipino guys and their civics came up to me and asked me if I bought my car like that. I replied; "no I did all that myself" They called BS and were racist enough to say "WTF since when did blk people start fixing up japanese cars???" That hella pissed me off!!! I was like so?? when did filipinos start fixing up japanese cars? you are no different than me! I told them sure I appear black, but I'm just as asian as you are! They were shocked when I said I was 1/2 japanese. They found a new respect for me and give me the wassup whenever we pass eachother on campus.
I'm proud of my heritage and some people just can't tell what it's like be from two unique backgrounds.

As of right now I have mixed feelings. I love the way my car looks, but I feel lately it's been tampered with too much since I changed it. I felt that going the JDM route would be a clean and subtle alternative to a dramatic bodykit that attracts even more attention...but I feel that people that are into the scene that notice these small jdm differences love to hurt my car knowing it's a beyatch to find and replace.
As for the person(s) that did this to my car.... I hope you get in a car accident and get crippled for life!!! or better yet just die!! We don't need people like you living.
Damn now I have to wait probably months for a replacement.....
