    Theoretical ?

I dont know if this has been asked before but im very curious to know what you guys would think. Between a Type R integra and a H22 integra which do you think is faster?

No flaming please... This question has been on my mind for a while.

And what would you base your answer on?

h22 has more torque, but then again its also a bit heavier... itd be close, but id say probably the H over the R.

having driven an H22 accord, and an integra (GSR) with a Type-R motor. id have to say it would be close in a straight line. even though the H22 has a bit more torque, it can rev as high, hence its peak torque is lower, hence it would accelerate slower.

iv never driven a real type-R, but my GSR with that motor, and shitty neuspeed springs would take an H22 accord with equal suspension mods in the twisties all day, so id say a real typeR would be even better.

anyway..id put my money on the ITR. its just an incredibly balanced car

Does body style really matter? I'm saying all things equal except the motors. Like stock everything no extra performance parts just the 2 different motors.

Drag would probably be the H22. Autocross or road racing, the lighter B18 would be better. The H22 is too heavy for those cars, and throws off the natural balance. It can be compensated for somewhat with a good suspension, but the B18 is still better suited to it.
