Not to thread jack but on the bottom of our post there's a little honda symbol, then a triangle thing when you hit it,it lets you report spam or something....it seems like I'm the only one that has a little scale there instead of the triangle thingy

a lot of boards have rep points, and its a way(at least in theory) to see who knows their ish and who has been around for a while and distinguished him/herself. if you go to user cp you can see if you have accumulated any rep points as well. also, i think that this is being done so that a full on buyer/seller feedback forum thing doesnt have to be made, which deev has always seemed to not want to do.
however, these are all just what i think is going on and what i think to be the case, im no mod, and i could be wrong. word.

rep points. the scale icon/button is to give somebody "props" - either they were a good seller, or they know what they are talking about, something you feel makes them deserve positive credit. as somebody builds credit/reputation, they get more and more green dots, and the tooltip changes based on their score. what it actually says is irrelevant, its the number of dots/points that counts. you can see your own information in the main page of your User CP.

rep points are in no way a measure of anyone's knowledge.

hopefully, on this board they will be given out to those that REALLY deserve them, not just for helping out a noob or anyone else.

I'm on boards where mods and other members have a shit ton of rep point and they know nothing. Or at least what they know is completely wrong and is nothing but internet theories and misinformation.

completely unrelated the green dots are rep points like said, the little honda icon in the very bottom left corner is the on/offline status icon. dark, the user is offline, lit up, they are on and browsing.

Am i the only one that has a scale instead of a "report bad post" sign?

when i gor over it it says add to ILBB's reputation points and when i click it it says you have 10 rep points.

how to you give someone some rep points.

People asked for a reputation system... I argued it, because (as d112crzy said) it is in no way a trustworthy method of determining someone's knowledge or credibility. BUT, the requests kept coming, so there it is

Now don't come crying to me when you blow your motor because of bad advice, or get scammed by some dipshit selling stuff he doesn't have. Take these reputation points with a grain of salt. And give and take them responsibly.

'I just blew my motor, it couldnt be that'.

The guy said I could use diesel and besides, his little box was green.

Not only am I gonna take these things with a grain of salt, but I'm just not even going to pay attention to them because I know that people will get most of their points because the person who gave the points just likes their car and thinks it's "mad JDM, yo'z!"
