Why are the new members being called newcomers, not noobies? Mods trying to be politcally correct?

"noobie" has a bad connotation usually, and it implies that the person is new to the cars/the cb7 scene... figured Newcomer sounded a little nicer, and its better for "experts" who just registered at the site.

I agree... n00b kinda seems like a putdown, and is often used as such. Newcomer at least can't be used in that way.... "shut up, newcomer!"... no.

if one deserves to be blasted for being a "noob" the name newcomer isnt going to stop someone from saying such. imo if your a newcomer sit down shut up and learn. if you feel you can help add your 2 cents. if you dont know what your talking about let people that do help.

True, but I think it's better to leave "noob" as a derogatory term to be used when someone is being an idiot... Not just a label you're slapped with when you first sign up.
