Yes it's true, my CB7 is dead. The surgeon, Mr Honda confirmed my worst fear, a blown bearing and a rod that's about ready to blow through the block. I tried getting opinions from other mechanics but in the end it was what I thought it was. Like all good things I have glorious memories of my beloved CB7. It was my first car, no car notes, no lien, nothing. I bought it for $1000 cash from an old co-worker of mine as is, riced and all. My project was de-ricing it and making it an awesome looker the likes of BustedLX, cpmike, and uncle_el. Anyhow, it's going to cost me a lot more to fix the car then what it's worth, especially since it's got so many other problems that I have to deal with. I love this car and like an old girlfriend she's hard to let go, but I'm strong. I'm planning on parting her out before I sell her either to a yard or to someone who has the money I do not. I will post a topic in the classifieds once I have talked this over with my girlfriend to determine the final outcome. I sure hate to see my car go but I know for sure once I hav the funds I am going to buy another one, preferably a 93 EX Coupe standard. Hopefully I'll get lucky like Mr Honda and find a gorgeous sedan (you need to post pics of it man) in no time. Until then I will be in mourning perhap the biggest loss I've had to deal with to date. Services to be announced. Thank you for reading!...

That's the thing bro, I don't have $2000 to drop for another engine, and that's friend prices. Besides, the car has suspension issues, a Maaco paint job that's giving, a fucked bumper, a steel wing I can't take off because of the holes it'll leave, and too many other issues to list here. It's been stolen and god knows what else can go wrong with it. It would be much more worth my while to sell it for what I can and combine what I would spend on another engine swap for a totally different STOCK car...

options:
- sell it as a shell
- drop an f22 in for a few hundred and sell it
- drop in an f or h and keep it for yourself
if you always wanted a 93 EX, i guess this is your opportunity to go for one. but dropping a new motor in is a very viable option... not too expensive, not too hard, and itll get ur baby back on the road, IMO.

I advised him to cut his losses and just start out with a new one. This thing had ALOT of SERIOUS issues other than the engine. If the body was clean, it definately would be worth a motor swap, but the previous owner had really torn this thing up. It is riced-out beyond recognition. I don't think I've ever said this before about a CB7, but......someone needs to just shoot this thing and put it out of its misery. Don't worry though, y2k, now you can find a nice stock one that you like and go the direction that YOU want to go with it. Whenever you do find one, just make sure I check it out for you first.00 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 4X4
