      Thats hard. She doesnt do the cooking at home, my father does. The appliances in the home are all new, so thats out of the question. She hasnt mentioned anything, and she is one of those people who HATE their birthday. I am thinking of getting flowers delivered to Home/Work wherever she will be on thursday, but after that i am stumped.

        Does she have any hobbies/projects she likes doing?

        My mom has been redoing our house since we moved in. A few Christmases ago I bought her a few gallons of paint, and she was thrilled about it. (Seriously). Something along those lines might be kinda neat.

          how bout a certificate for a spa to get hair/nails/massage done, or maybe you can detail/wash/wax and change oil in her car.

            I like the SPA idea, i will prolly go with that. Get her a Manicure and Pedicure.

            That also reminds me, I have to change the oil in her car ( a bit overdue...)

              I got my mom a day at the spa...she said that was the best gift anyone has ever given her... can't go wrong there. Did the same for my g/f for her birthday, she loved it also

                Christmas, I made my mom a fireplace decorative piece. Cold rolled steel rod bent into a viney pattern and welded hand-made leaves on it. She was fucking stoked and it hardly cost me anything but time. For Mother's Day all she wanted was for me to vaccuum her car inside and clean it, and get a nice car wash. My mom's easy to please.

                I did send her flowers one year to work and she cried for 2 days and bragged. Honestly though, the spa/manicure idea is kind of played out. In my opinion it's that last ditch effort because you're lost. The simplier the better. Good luck!

                    I know, but whenever she gets a pedicure, she is the happiest person alive. This way i think i can get brownie points, plus she is going on vacation next month, so this will be nice too.

                          maybe you can get a tattoo of a picture of ur mom when she was younger, and show her it when you take her out to dinner.

                          just a thought.

                            If not the gift card to the spa, why not a gift card for Macy's?

                            I bought my mom a bouquet of flowers and a $70. gift card to Macy's.

                            Mom=women.

                            Women=love shopping.
