those darn honda bumpers always fall off on the highway

i was with mauricio (excalibur02) this weekend and we stopped off at his local advance auto parts, and we see this old civic in the parking lot. on our way out i made him pass near it so i could take a picture.

first off, it was the 4 extra driving lights that caught my attention. upon closer inspection, i was astounded to find a pair of pink stick-on hood pins stuck on the front of the FRONT BUMPER...

either of the two things must be true:

1. his bumper likes to fall off from the added weight of all of the lights on the front, and those were real pins, with an actual purpose.

or

2. hes an idiot, and isnt smart enough to understand their purpose (or at least the purpose of real ones, as these appeared to be stick-on), and cant read well enough to read the box while he was purchasing them.

They are no longer called Ricers for having those types of lights. They are now called, "RALLY-RICERS."

Shoot, now i have faith that i too can drive sideways, in the snow and dirt just by adding on those 4 lights!! and here i thought adding type R stickers helped, shiet, im going to get those stick-on hood pins!!! YES!!! im excited now!!!

well, it is a 4wd wagon, so maybe the extra lights are for off-road.

maybe the hood-pins are where they attach the wench when they get stuck.

maybe he has a condition where he cant see well in low light conditions, and maybe the hood pins were real and helped his bumper with the extra support. Maybe he's not a ricer at all but instead an elderly man with an older civic he bought brand new back in the day and has kept around for its reliability, despite the poor honda clearcoat burning off the hood he went ahead and primered it to keep it in good shape all the while due to medical reasons he needs the extra lights because he needs to keep his license because since his wife died he has to be able to drive to the town 30 miles away to visit his invalid daughter, and the day may come where in an emergency he may need to drive at night to see her. now what? you all would feel like total asses.
