i've been working my rc drift skills for about a year now, but i'm not that good. i've got the yokomo drift rx7, but i'm gonna dump it and buy me an AE tc4 and run a 20 turn, loads of torque and a good run time. also alot of fun!!!

a 20 turn isn't bad, i'm running two 21 turn engines in my e-maxx. that thing is pumping 50 lbs. of torque!

so what exactly makes them drift specific....can't you just do that with any rwd rc car?

i used to have an emaxx, tmaxx and a savage, the e was good clean fun, but i've since moved on to a tmaxx 3.3, that little shit is retarded fast. it'll flip over from a dead stop.

they're awd w/ a pcv like tire supper hard compound and slick. you can use any rc to drift w/ i've got a brushless rc18mt w/ touring car wheels and hard compound tires i use along w/ my road car. you realy need some sort of adjustable suspension. once you get into it, it's realy fun. right now i'm custom painting an JDM odyssey body for my new one. scroll down you'll see it. http://www.hpiracing.com/bodies/newbody.php

here's a link to an rc drift forum. http://www.groovydrift.com/

nice, i've got 2 tmaxx's, 1 emaxx, and 1 kyosho truck. i'm running with the .15 engines even though people say there weak, i can't control them. did you do a motor swap cause the stock new tmaxx's come with a 2.5 engine?

no i baught the new tmaxx 3.3 it came out about a month or so ago. traxxas claims 60% more hp over the 2.5 motor. it runs on the revo drive train, axles, trans and wheels. http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitr...rx_tmaxx33.htm check out the videos.

you can convert your 1.5 to a 3.3 by getting the 2.5 retrofit mount and using the 3.3 in it's place. i don't think the 1.5 driveline will hold up.

to be honest w/ you they really are. 2spd trannys, disc brakes, full adjustable suspension. if a real car has it, an rc has a modified version. my trucks got an ecu for the transmission. my minitruck will do 50 mph and mop the floor w/ my big nitro powered truck. my road car will do close to 45mph. i've got a buddy w/ road car that'll do well over 60mph if you can keep it from flipping over. it's sick!!! if you get in the hobby, you'll never get out. i've got almost $2000 in 3 rc cars. + my hop ups and misc stuff.
