Question for people that are knowledgeable with LED's..

Aight, so my buddy and I have been riding our bikes a lot places to get back in shape for the summer and beach festivities.

He got stopped by a cop the other night for not having a light on the front.. my bike had the bracket for one but I just had to find the light, which I did, but I would like to throw an LED bulb in there.

It has a low and high feature but uses the one bulb.

My question is: is there an LED bulb that would fit in my housing (needs to be the same size bulb as the one that is in here now?

The light is very bright with the bulb that is in there, but I'd like to be stupid like I am and throw in a blue LED bulb. This way I can be rolling HID style like in my Lexus.. haha.

cpmike might be able to help me.. but I don't know shit for LED's.

Here is what it says on the side of the bulb:

    48V 0.5A

    Thank ya.

I wouldn't put a blue light in the front. If you have police on bikes there, then you could get a ticket.

Just put a white bulb/LED and keep it simple.

    Good luck

superbrightleds.com has LED replacements for just about every bulb type out there... but 48v? thats a little strange... that looks like a standard 12v bulb base, but the glass looks like its shaped a little differently, similar to an H1 bulb, maybe its for high-output, and thats why its 48v. try that site, see if they offer anything that will fit.

edit: you beat me to it!

            LOL!
Uhh, I did have a rack on the back that was pretty much welded to the frame that held stuff like shoes and stuff for when hardcore mountain biking, and I did shave it off. Cut it off, sanded, and spray paint.

            It's a nice bike.

I'll get a photoshoot of it and the Lex next to each other.. I believe my bike is sitting on some phat 20's.

4thgenaccord, that was only in one area where it's hood rich. I've seen people with those super bright LED lights they sell in the store. As long as it's a light, it'll be fine. I'm just trying to pass time and have fun with myself. I'll check out the website and I'll post up a picture of the entire light assembly too for you cpmike.
