    Void Warranty if Installed

So all that crap these dealers are telling you about voiding warranty if an aftermarket part is installed is nothing but a bunch of crap.

Also, if a manufacturer "requires" you to use a specific brand of oil, they must supply it to you for free.

Its suppose to be something like if you can prove that it doesnt affect the car in a certain way then you can run it. Like your basic bolt on parts or a kit or something. I dunno I could be wrong i read up on it a while back.

There's a good link. There's links from this page to other pages.

You could put everything back on your car "if" it broke then take it back but there probably would be tale tale signs of bolts being removed and etc. Most manufacturers mark bolts with a highly visible mark on key components. And, if your car is under a service warranty, the shop could note a mod when you take it in for service and if a subsequent failure happened then they could likely say it was your fault or the "mods" fault.

Or they just look at the bolt if its been molested (rounded off and such). They started stopping warranties for EVOs because people kept on messing clutches up and such doing high RPM drops and some other stuff.
