    which monitor to get?

Well my current computer screen is getting pretty bad color wise and i think its about time to put it to rest.
I love the gateway and read nothing but near to perfect customer reviews on it, but I don't quite think its worth the extra 200 dollars. I'm pretty poor right now.
I don't play games or watch movies on my computer, just photo editing etc.

Here is what I narrowed it down to

    LG 19" Flat-Panel LCD Monitor
    Retail - 419
    I get it for - 350

    Ultrafast 2 ms response time
    1600:1 contrast ratio; 300 cd/m² brightness
1280 x 1024 maximum resolution; 160° horizontal and vertical viewing angles

    OR

Gateway 21" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD Monitor
    Retail - 599
    I get it for - 525

    1680 x 1050 maximum resolution at 75Hz
    Ultrafast 8 ms response time
    300 cd/m² brightness; 1000:1 contrast ratio

I love the 21" gateway, you ccan rotate the screen...

but any ways, i like the 2 ms on the lg and the picture of the gatway semed decent(wasnt hooked up to dvi, just vga)

but...the rotateable screen might be usefull to you to edit pics.

go crt.. lcd is overrated. the only thing to sway me to buy an lcd would be if i couldn't fit a crt.

crt makes the blackest blacks and the whitest whites not to mention the response time. true color.

my dad thinks im crazy, he keeps trying to offer me his 19" LCD... i mean its a beautiful LCD for what it is, but nothing can compare to my 17" mitsubishi CRT.

if theres room on my desk, ill always have a CRT.

get the widescreen. i have the 15inch sony flat-panel lcd, and i regret not spending the little extra to go widescreen.

i have a hp 15' flat panel (nothing special) which is good for space saving.
i was wondering how to clean the screen? ive had it for a year and never cleaned it out of fear of poss damage caused from household cleaners to the lcd.
