Dunno where to post this... but whatever. I was on some site and theres a thread "What's you car?" So i posted my cb7 with h22 swap and so they start hatin on my POS honda. And there's this guy said "Its a nice car, but I laugh how Honda's need engine swaps to be fast". And i was thinking to say to be a sleeper, but i think thats not good enough for it lol. So can someone give me some good counter for that comment lol.

well I think of swaping honda motors as putting the original jdm motor back in the usdm engine bay of our honda cars. fuck wat them other dudes say im proud of my HONDA!

Exactly (except the H22 didn't come in the Accord but same concept)

Swapping engines in our cars just makes up for the power loss we suffer from cars being brought over from Japan.

I think everybody that doesnt own a Honda hate on Hondas. I mean I know guys with riced out eclipses and 240s and they are always hatin on my wagon. I gave that Eclipse a run for his money one day on the interstate and he hasnt said much since. It was a pretty even race though. I think if I get an exhaust system goin then I might can inch past him.

So tell those people that you swapped because its neccesary to become faster. Tell them people you gotta bolt stuff on to become faster too.

Honestly everyone knows Hondas arent really known much for speed, except maybe an S2000. It's more known for gas mileage and dependibility. People will always talk, most of them are stuck in the same frame of mind and just make fun of shit because everyone else does. We all know secretly they want to be bad ass honda drivers like us.

hey, I'm moving this to OT - it's not exactly a technical discussion about swap-related issues, but it is worth keeping open for sure

1. i had a really good comment to insert here about guys who drive mustangs and a lack of manhood - and something about it taking some serious balls to build a car that was once marketed as a grocery-getting family friendly machine ... well that's the gist of it

2. I get funny looks too, but I guess I don't have it as bad because i'm a girl - and the fact that I know 500 times more about cars (mine especially) is enough to keep most guys mouths shut. unless they're the type to say "well you shoulda put an H22 in there" because they don't even believe the F22B exists.

3. and i ESPECIALLY love people that put dual exhaust on their unbuilt 4-bangers. and then asking them how they feel about that power loss due to a lack of back pressure -- and then watching their jaws drop -- i say "you know the stickers WOULD HAVE made you faster than this - at least they don't weigh you down
