My mom drives a POS that she absolutely loves and refuses to get rid of (it's so embarassing)... '94 Dodge Shadow hatchback. Imagine it -- bright @$$ blueish-green with those old-school black bumpers, mirrors, and side moldings. She's had that thing forever and it's probably on its last leg but somehow it keeps soldiering on. It's a 5-spd stick with no A/C, yep NO air! It's got roll up windows and a cassette tape player (oooh!). She calls it her "Maui Cruiser" and she loves how small and "zippy" (her word) it is. She's one of those people who has no idea about cars -- to her, a new Honda Civic looks exactly like one from 20 years ago and also looks exactly like a Chevy, Ford, or Toyota. She's clueless, can't tell the difference, HEHE. She's not the best driver. She drives pretty fast and everyone jokes of having whiplash after having to ride in her car (from her abrupt stick-shift driving).
My dad's a piece of $h!t (not the car, HE is, HAHA). He's an exec and gets a new company car every three mos or so. He's a golf-a-holic so he used to always get a Subaru Forester or Chrysler minivan, but lately its been alternating between that overweight and overpriced Chrysler Pacifica minivan-wannabe-SUV or the Chrysler 300 (he's not cool enough to get the 300C w/ Hemi, LOL). And, he drives like a typical old fart. His personal vehicles which he keeps in his garage include two old ass cars that I could give a rat's @$$ about, HEHE -- an El Camino and Corvette.
So, yeah, my folks definitely aren't very cool Not as cool as my boyfriend's parents, though. It's kinda funny to picture them. His mom has a '99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T -- white, AT, w/ the factory chromed wheels. It's funny to picture this grandmotherly looking woman driving a Eclipse turbo, HEHE. She drives pretty slow but it's good b/c the car's in mint condition. I think it's only got like 50,000 miles. When they retired she got a '05 Mercedes E320 CDI (or whatever it's called, its the diesel model), light blue / gray leather. And his dad drives an '01 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. They both drive pretty slow.
All I know is that when I'm old and gray I'm going to drive a cool car. I definitely don't want to be like my mom, LMAO!
