info on Photoshop

how do people do Photoshop. like they can do a blue print of what they want there car to look like. how do they do it and what software?

Photoshop is the name of the software, hence calling edited pictures "photoshops" its basically just a really good selection of tools, the pencil, airbrush, smudge tool, etc etc and you go through and copy and paste pictures of wheels and resize them and blend them in to fit, etc... its hard if youve never done it before, but you get used to it quick... if you really are interested, they have a good selection of Photoshop books at barnes and nobel

The software is Adobe Photoshop. That's the newest version out, which is pretty pricey as most of them are. But you don't have to have the newest one. I'm still using CS and I'm totally happy with it. I started using Photoshop 5.0 back in the day and have progressed since. I'm self-taught, but there are books and sites on the web for help and tips and what not. I'm not sure if this totally answers your question, but hope it helped you somewhat...

u have to create a model of your car and start modeling u need a 3d software for that there are some models already done but the one i saw they where selling it for 900 bucks fu*ing bastards

I know you don't have to buy it from Adobe. I just used the official site for legal reasons, lol. And incase he wanted to read about it more...

what the fuck are you talking about? a 3D model of his car? that would require a modeling program like Solidworks or AutoCAD. Photoshop wouldnt even open that file.

I guess you could use Lightwave 3D, 3D Max Studio, or some other 3D software to make a render of your car and edit it. But for the type of photoshopping/photochopping we are talking about, I just use good ol Adobe Photoshop.

i actually finished the modeling part. but i never got to render it and make it look real (which was my whole initiative to even do the model). it was lost in a hard drive crash

i even fixed the front bumper to look right (not shown here)

That's awesome man, what program you use? I took a class on Lightwave 3D. The only thing I made was a 3D ATi logo and made a Volk TE-37 wheel.

i used Rhino3D. not the best 3d program in the world but i found it for free

Is that the same as rhinoceros? b/c rhinecerous is pretty good imo. But I like/love working with AutoCad, I have the 2006 version, and I got it for free. I am also tryin to get the Architectural desktop for free, but it seems like no one has it. I also have solid works, and I dont like solidworks that much, its a very good program, I just dont like it.lol

anyways, to the thread starter, is this the kind of photoshop you were talking about? Or are you still talking about actual photo shop? Like where u can make your car look lower, or change the color/rims, add tint, etc...? If so, then Adobe Photoshop, Jasc Paint shop Pro, and I forget which others are pretty good programs for that. I use Photoshop 7, I hear CS is better, but I like 7 better.

If you want any of these programs, you either have to buy them, or download them using some kind of filesharing program such as Limewire, or Bearshare, or if you live on a college campus, get DC++ and find out how to work it. Google it mang.
