I've been pondering over a way to have a program that would basically build your own frankenstein motor. It seems to me that it's just taking way to much time to fool with buying a f22, then buying this head and that head and another head all to find out of a h22 head or a h23 head fits on it. It would seem to me it would be better to have people give us the measurements of particular motors and send some pics and then we could just make a program to tell you everything about that motor except for hp. This would make for easy engine swaps and what not. we have enough members to supply us with pics. If we get a few measurements we could even have the computer figure out what the other measurments are. Just a thought though. Any one interested. I only know Java, and C++ but i'm not fluent enough in either of those to make any worth while program. My step dad is drying a newer language that is recursive by nature... allows you to do derivatives and integrals and all that fun stuff rather easily.. i wonder if that wouldn't be usefull for this program. any ideas?

i hopeing that it would calculate all the measurmants c/c of everything. Like to find out of the domes of the head will line up with the cylinders, and the head bolts line up... true auto cad does something similar...probably does it the way i want it, but i can't figure out autocad very well plus ALL the engines would ahve to be entered in..that would suck.
if we could get a few images with some measurements, then it would seem easier to have a list of engines and parts and swap them around in the computer and build a engine that way... it's a bit cheaper than buying all the engines and do trial and error.WTB:
88-01 prelude 2.0si (3g) si (4g,5g)
OR
90-93 Accord.
Has to be 5spd, has to be CHEAP. SUPER CHEAP. Will be in Indiana in February permanently and want a project car when I get settled in.

if you get 2 or more measurements for the computer to take other measurements it can be close. Yah it would be nice to get it to the thousanths...but if it was even a 1/16 accuracte it would be at least worth a gander if you could put a few different motors together..instead of just guessing.WTB:

anyway what you want to do can be done by absolutely any language out there. be it qbasic, java, c++, php, perl, javascript, anything. math is math.
start learning calculus and find somebody who can get you all the measurements and youll have no problem at all
