yes, it was a joint venture by toyota and chevy, toyota would sell the cavalier under thier name for a portion of the profits, and GM would make them and get most of the money back (thier cost + profit) . . . at least thast what Im assuming happened

tell you the truth though, i would rather buy a toyota cavalier than a chevy cavalier. just seems more relaible under the toyota name for some reason

PS. Its been the other way around for years. Toyota made the Pontiac Vibe and numerous other cars to help improve GM's image. And toyota supplies hybid technology to all auto manufacturers.

also, side note...honda v6's are in those fugly Saturn Suvs.

japanese only. pretty well known, lots of the "jdm" cavalier guys do "toyota" conversions where they go all toyota to make it like its a JDM Toyota Cavalier.

ZcMack is right, its like the corolla/prizm... other cars have been badged under different names too, i believe one of the isuzu's was a honda car.

Why do people have a fasicnation for JDM Fog lights , half atenna buttons , Headlights on Hondas.

They do... you'd be suprized how much the companies actually share. I always think its funny that the foreign automakers are helping us out, when all the domestic fools think gm/chevy/ford are IT.

I also beleive that there is a nissan van, maybe a quest that is a ford... has ford stamped into the rad. support. I know its some kinda van like that.
