checked the spare, put a can of fix-a-flat, my tool box, a jack, and some of each type of fluid in my trunk, did an oil change, checked my tires, and im throwing in new plugs tomorrow. packed clothes, im ready!! im so stoked, i leave tomorrow right after work

And thanx cpmike for the reassurance. I don't trust my car 100% right now either. haha. I had a bad episode with the fuel filter and my interior wreeks (sp?) of gas. and my spark plugs got oil. Good thing [for me] its only a 4.5 hour trip. good luck bro.

Last update from me is that I'll be there in the CRX....fenderless. However I'll be bringing it with me to fend off any law enforcement along the way. After toiling all day with the car, packing, etc I came out pretty good.

I only missed getting one thing done that I really wanted to do, and that was to put speakers in up front in my car. Perhaps I'll bring my spare speakers and rig something up while waiting in Springfield and Columbus.

I'm leaving right from school tomorrow, don't even have time to go home. Plus I'm driving about 1400 miles round trip on a car I don't really trust either...this should be fun.

And as far as tools, you cant be too prepared... If something stupid and little goes wrong and you dont have tools, that can shut ya down for quite a while where it would be just a 5 second fix with tools. Im bringing quite a bit more than i'll need, but wont have to worry about anything.

I've got 4 hours until I gotta leave, still gotta pack and make sure I got everything.

My car has been sitting under the cover for about 4 months so I checked it out throughly yesterday. I gotta get 2 new tires today cause 2 have bubbles and broken bands in them. I changed oil, trans fluid, spark plugs and other items. I plugged in the P28 w/F22B1 base map and it runs pretty good but I have not been able to drive it yet so we'll see how it does. The IACV is shot so it idle loops until it warms up but once it's warm, it runs damn near perfect! Mine should be good to go for the trip. If it made it to FL and back 4 mos. ago then it should be fine to NC and back this weekend.
