anyone transport a cb7 hood in their cb7?

yeah i know crazy question. i headed up to Vis in L.A. this friday to pick up a carbon fibre hood. i measured the hood width and its like .5 inch narrower than the opening for the back doors so it might fit but i just wanted to ask if anyone has gotten one in there. id thought about just rolling up there and installing the c/f hood in the parking lot and throwing my stock hood in a dumpster but then again the hood might be worth a few bucks.

You can always throw it on top of the car with alot of cushion to it and tie it down to the car and close the doors and drive carefully. Just an idea though. Or you can install it right when you pick it up/
I cheated on my cb7 with an e30.....Not cool. I will be a honda boy at heart though woop woop

nothing, unless its raining it might not be a good idea.

ive driven for like 3hrs with out a hood, just make sure everything in the engine bay is secured down.

When I did my blackout headlights I drove around all afternoon with the hood, headlights, grille, and front bumper off while paint was drying (just for kicks). The car looked like something straight from a salvage yard or auto body shop.

When I bought my new hood, I didn't even think that it wouldn't fit. Total lack of common sense on my part! I had to stuff it in my mom's PT Cruiser (and even that was tight as hell). As Ricky said, if you take the lower part of your back seat out (and perhaps the entire back and passenger seats, just for ease of movement) it might fit. It'll be a frustrating trip through the door though!

The easiest way, if you have access, is to drop it in the back of a pickup truck and tie it down (keep in mind that any air getting under it will try to lift it up... tie it tight!) That, or someone with an SUV (wow, an actual use for an SUV! )
