    NEWS FLASH: Baby Shield

well i dont know much, but i heard a news flash on tv and it was talking about who was at fault for killing a baby. the cops shot the baby, but it was an accident... the father put his daughter up in front of himself to use as a human shield.

not really a "fun" fact... just something that made me go WOW...

The guy was firing rounds at the cops at the same time, so they really had no choice.

I agree. But i think they could have at least aimed a little lower.

This reminds me of the whole "Worlds Wildest Police Chases" where someone gets pulled over for a blown tail light...panics and runs. The cops then PURSUE the "criminal suspect". The show says how the driver swerves out of control, is deadly ect. Well my question is "why chase someone for a tail light? WHO is the one putting people in danger here?!".

Baby shield dead = poorly trained cops with alot of adreniline thinking they must stop this guy NOW. They should have agreed with demands way before this tradgedy happened, then no one would be shooting at anyone.

MY .02 and you can SUCK it if you dont like it.

Just think about it though. If he's trying to evade the police for a simple fix-it ticket, then hes probably got a lot to hide.

its not as easy as you think...you can still shoot when one is wounded in the leg...but not so much in the chest.

yo wek3k, thats true man but anyone shot anywhere would be on the ground crying unless hes on like LSD or something stupid. Aside of that, a shot lower would give them an opportunity for another shot in the chest. my 2 cents

Or if he is drunk he wouldnt even realize he was shot. I would aim for the knee cap though.

im gonna argue against poorly trained cops -

if i toss my kid in front of a moving car, it was my fault. not the drivers fault, and you cant say it was a poor driver.

couldve always had a sniper ya kno?

anyway the mom pleaded with the cops to not shoot...the guy was depressed cuz of his failign buisness..AND high and drugs and drunk..still no excuse..my instinct says f the cops..they couldve done a better job...had a better plan..but then again...they probably had to act fast..hd no time to call in reinforcements or w/e...wonder if a negotiator was brought in iii dunnno...thats a real sad thing to...the poor mom man

wow . . . i love how everyone jumps on the f-the cops bandwagon . . . why bring in a negotiatior, chances are he wasnt holding hostages (i dont know anything about this situation) . . . i really wonder why the cops were called in the first place . . . wife beating maybe? . . . i dunno, ill look around online for the story and post it, its gotta be out there somewhere
EDIT: they did bring in a negotiator . . . and helped a neighbor escape from around the scene . . . he was drunk and depressed . . . the cops did what they could, its just an unfortunate accident

It's a sad ending, but you can't shoot at the police and not expect return fire...and likely more accurate!

You cant even hold a wallet near a cop, let alone a gun.

last i heard they were in the process of doing ballistics on the bullet to prove who actually shot the daughter. and eventhough the father did something totally unexcusable, im going to say the cops are the ones that actually shot her... but i bet the results are going to "prove" that the father actually shot her, not the cops.

cops can get away with anything. last year, the local department got away with shooting an old asian woman with a potato peeler.
