ive been around for awhile recommended to this board through sounddomain by a user WayCoolJr i think, Never been banned, attempted to follow every rule. Have had quite a few of my post deleted and been ripped off twice. This site isnt what it used to be, and in my honest opinion caused the selling of my car the first time to make back the Moola i had been ripped off for but when i got back on my feet i bought my cb7 back and turned the other cheek for months hardley ever visiting this site knowing full well it was going down hill. I came back with my car ten times what it was and that was just it, i found out i could make any car ten times what it was it wasnt the the car it was the sad state of this board the O.G. board that taught me alot of new tricks and tips that i would have never known, now someone wants to come up with something there are certain members here who for some odd reason feel it is there right to bash something that they didnt think of first. I ve made a few post when i was in a bad mood *I.E Jdm cars that werent JDM but that post got deleted and i had no problem i should have said something more constructive and didnt so in all the problems here not one of the members here can ever say they didnt have a part in the demise of a once great board.

i am gonna give yall my .02: i had also noticed the decline of the site in the little bit i have been on here. i used to LIVE on this site when i first found out about it but it seems that lately i feel dumber after i read some of the shit on here. and deev eventhough i don't know you, i still think that you are kinda letting them beat you by quitting... instead of complaining about the immaturity on this site take some action. don't give warnings. drucifers suggestion to have suspensions is a very good one. have them be for 1 day, 3 day, 1 month, whatever. and make it a big deal too. just like if you get a dui it gets posted in the paper, have somewhere that shows who got suspended and why. see how many people continue to flame after that. lock worthless threads up and dump them. have a FAQ section for each sub forum, be realistic, people will NEVER use the search button as they should, they don't in any other forum, so try and aleviate some of the nuisance... take action, don't let them win!!

well its like recyclying and conservation..for just a handfull of people to do the work it becomes a daunting task. if everyone on here were to keep some comments to themself, or take disagreements to another medium we wouldnt have any issues. then just like my example some people just dont feel they should have to do anything, that they should have the right to say w/e they want to. i just feel that there are no suggestions that will turn this site around.

i think this site will end up being run by newbs..then people wont come to the site (if its still around) then new people will join that will be well informed and well have it come full cycle...idk..or maybe it will just fade away...

THE MEMBERS ARE ALLOWING THE BOARD TO GO DOWNHILL. It's not doing it on it's own. Everyone is doing it. Everyone is thinking that they can say whatever they want and it won't have an influence on the outcome of the board as a whole!


Am I just blessed with amazing foresight, or is everyone just too damn self-centered to realize that they are not alone on this board. This is a community. When someone flames a person in Classifieds for saying something dumb, that same person feels that sort of act is ok elsewhere... even when it wasn't ok in the first place. If someone flames and a mod doesn't delete it right away (which has gotten increasingly harder), other people see it and take that negative vibe with them. ONE person flaming influences all who see it. Those people in turn influence others. Way to go!


Now, stop thinking of it as "the board" and realize that you are ALL a part of it... if you don't consider yourself a part of it, then leave. PM me your request and I will ban you permanently. Stop thinking it's the board as a whole, and realize that we are all a part. We all influence what happens, especially those who post often.

when change is needed (and it is) it isn't gonna be easy. shit steve you know my number if the mods need help give me a call, i want this site to be the way it was and i really really don't think its beyond repair like you guys do. just needs some cleaning up, start taking some drastic measures and you will see results. its up to you guys, if the mods need help pm me... oh and to clarkster, to think that people are gonna control their flaming and whoring by themselves when they haven't on any other board is naive...

Deever, I agree with you but it's not going to get better if we just let it go to shit. We can get it back, we have a LOT of members here who do contribute to the board very much and we want them to stay.

As for Mick, ban him. I don't care if he sees this or not but we all know the moderators and Steve have talked about it.. I think if the post count was disabled he would stop posting too. He's amused by his post count, and will continue to be.. until he's banned or grows up.

As for this thread, it's the most actively cpmike has been with his moderatorship lately because of what you said.. he just gave up.

We can get this shit together and keep it going.. giving up is just pointless.

im not saying that people will automatically do this once they are on the site..but with warnings, editing, PMs, temp bans..etc. people should be able to get the hints. ive been on other sites, i know how it goes down. but i agree with what you say about more action from mods too..but i dont think they have been slow to keep up at all. i think that its just gotten to the point where its all most a full time job to keep the threads clean.

I didn't realize it was this bad...more members, more problems. The only suggestion I have is making a newbie forum and setting a post limit for them (i.e. 50 posts) for them to get acclamated in that forum, and if they're OK they can gain access to the rest of the forum...

I think this site is still great; I haven't had too many problems, and whenever I ask a question I get an answer; and when I can answer a question I do. I think it's easy to tell who can make a contribution and who can't; we should just weed people out early, no questions asked. I feel like there's an easier way.

I'm tired of people looking at him as the sole problem. There are people here that are more of an irritation to me than Mick. I ignore his stupid stuff, and you know what? It doesn't bother me. It actually bothers me to see people get upset with him.

Before Mick, who was it that was whoring? Soy. Before Soy? Maple. Before Maple? Fizz (perhaps not as pointlessly, but still whored a hell of a lot). If we ban Mick, who's next? Who is the next scapegoat for the condition of the board?

And if people piss the mods off, we ban, right? If people piss off the members, but not the mods, we don't ban? If the mods like someone and think they can work with them, rather than deprive them of a community that they really like... should we ban them? Or try to work with them?

If people want banning, I can ban. Anyone who breakes the smallest rule can be banned. I don't care. I'll do it. Then we'll get the reputation for being a bunch of Nazis (aznbadasslx and Accord R33 should remember that one...) People will stop coming here, and talk on other boards about how horrible it is here. Yay!

Maybe if a membership fee had to be paid to join..it would weed out the obnoxious members and give them an incentive to behave. The potential of Losing money always has a way of controling people.
