          damn that shit looks much cleaner than jus drilling and plugging the holes. a DIY would be great for a cleaner manifold swap

            The guy just knocked out his EGR plugs, tapped the ports and replaced the plugs with allen screws.

            Pretty slick, anytime you need to clean them, just unscrew 'em.

              but thats the thing....what allen screws did he use and whered he get them..ive never seen those before

                    I remember asking if I could use bolts, the idea kinda fell through, but I'd be interested to see a DIY from you about them

                      is there much pressure going threw there ? not to nock your idea i think its awsume but i was wondering if maby you have to use some of that thread lock glue so they dont come loose?

                      sorry if that is a stupid question but maby it isnt..


                      anyway looks cool i would rather do this than just plug, great idear

                          when that whole egr port cleaning DIY came out, i suggested tapping the holes and sliding small bolts in place... just never felt like cleaning my EGR ports and doing that, since its blocked off anyway.

                            They're just set screws, you can get them at any decent hardware store.

                            That's what I'd be worried about, a good tight seal and not rattling those puppies out. Maybe a good threadlocking compound....

                              they do it for 110 bucks but ill see if i can do it myself sine ill be doing a minor rehaul on my engine this summer.
