Figured I'd share this with you all.

    November 22nd 2013 at about 12:30PM.

My family owns a sports bar that I sometimes help out at which was what I was doing that day. I drove my 1993 Accord Lx as I that was my main vehicle at the time.

I heard what I thought was the doors of a beer truck closing. Seconds after my sister in law was yelling at me that my car was hit and was sitting on the sidewalk. I go outside and this is what I came out to.

    I IMMEDIATELY started taking pics.

This first picture was taken no more than 15 seconds after. The lady is still out of it and the guy in red on the phone is the Budweiser guy.

Notice the license pate on my car vs theirs. Mine: PJ6 M4U Hers: PJ4 M5U

The person driving the Nissan pathfinder was high on prescription pain killers and had a seizure while driving. She clipped a beer truck, hit my sister in laws car and then smashed mine. She didn't have a drivers license and it took me 2 months to find out of they had insurance or not. It took me over a month just to obtain a police report.

I ended up getting around $1800 from their insurance with me keeping the car. I took the money and bought a 1994 Mazda B3000 off a friend for $700. I put another $800 in the truck in repairs and maintenance and now I drive it.

I took and sold most the parts because I was extremely pissed. I took my other 1991 Accord and parked it right next to this one in the field for 6 months. I was done with Accords.

While selling some of the parts on Craigslist I noticed the vehicle that smashed into my car. They had taken universal headlights and put in it in attempt to drive it. They said in the ad that, and I quote "it had been hit". So I gave them a call asking about how it had been hit before telling them who I really was. And of course I got hung up on and the ad was deleted immediately. Some people have a very low value as humans. Anyways, below is the truck I bought. Good truck really.

3.0L V6, 2wd, 170K, 5 Speed with the M5OD-R1. 3.45 gears with a 7.5" open diff. It gets what its supposed to for mileage, about 23-24mpg. I'm happy with it I guess. Just not nearly as fun. I bought a 302 fuel injected V8 from a 1994 F150 and the M5OD-R2 that came with it. Along with the wiring harness and ECU. That's what I plan to rebuild and put in it after rebuilding it and putting an E303 cam in.

Thanks man, and I was pretty sore about it for a while. Once I got over feeling sorry for myself I got around to pulling the engine and trans along with all the parts to swap my other one over to a 5 speed.

Definitely some bullshit. If it were not the repercussions caused by the actions of a drug addict I wouldn't have been so upset. The good thing is it was a Seattle silver sedan with the maroon interior and not a coupe or anything. I really liked that car but it was what it was.

Here it is now. Flipped it upside down so its easier to remove the control arms and whatnot. Also easier to load onto a trailer when I take it to the scrap yard. I used a tractor.

Thank you, I had a lot of time in it.

When I first got the truck I hated it. It was neglected for years and I was still pissed off about my Accord. So I kinda hated it for that reason too. It's really cool to have a truck that I can throw a small load in and get 20+mpg. It's gutless but if you let it work and don't get in a hurry it gets everything done that I need it too.

In a couple years when I get around to putting the 302 in it, it will be pretty neat I think. I want to rebuild it, keep it EFI and use a E303 cam while leaving it cosmetically like it is. Probably get a posi differential from an 80's supercoupe, go 3.73s and traction bars.

I was thinking to my self "If I knew a year ago I would be doing this..." while doing it actually.

The way I have to look at it is the car gave life to my other Accord and various other Accords throughout the country as I sold a lot of parts on eBay. If I don't think about it like that its somewhat depressing. I also ended up with a good truck.

I don't really believe in karma but as they were putting the lady on the the stretcher I walked up to her and first thing she said before I could say anything was that she was sorry. I said what I came up to her to say and that was I was just glad she was OK. Somehow I feel like that had an impact on how things turned out for me on the deal.

I'm surprised that they had insurance at all.

A lightning like Ranger would have been really cool. The truck being a 1994 is weird as some parts don't fit when they say it should.

It has an '88 to '93 Ford Ranger dash. Motor mounts from the 4.0L Explorer, the "right" ones don't fit. It's has an OBD-2 port with an OBD-1 computer or the other way around, I can't remember. Just various things like that. It's like they made the 1994 B series with a bunch of spare parts they had laying around.

I asked the officer what I should expect and his exact words were "with these people and their records? I would not get my hopes up".

It ended up being her ex boyfriends suv and his dads insurance.

That's what I was originally after. Buddy's-u-pull (a lot like pick-n-pull) had a fresh F150 with everything I needed so I grabbed it on fathers day weekend since they were having a half off sale. I got it all for $250.

I want to find a set of GT40 heads. I know someone who has a set of GT40p heads he said he would sell me. I just don't know the difference and if they would work on my 302.
