Despite the great look and stance of the car I admit I have a few things over the years that have just flat out got me wanting a new car. 1 oil pan gasket seemed like a easier job that it was, replacing power steering rack toasted my ps pump that I tried to rebuild but the seal by the belt kept kicking out so a new one I had to get. my dizzy went out, out of the blue, one of the coolant hoses to the oil cooler that was only accessible under the car was very angering. but dispite all that I take pride in my cb especially when so many people buy these cars for $700/2700 for stock cars and end up driving them right to the junk yard. and I love the rare parts that most the time stay at my pnp because no one knows any different ( I mean seriously when there are fog lights on a car and 99% don't have them maybe they are rare) score for me, long live the Cb

I own two of these now and lately it seems to only be a love/hate relationship. I gotta admit I really want a 2008 Acura TSX. It would have no problems, no road noise, no rattles, not one single issue!

My daily driver (92 accord exr) has no AC, rattles, noises, and just overall worn out. ie - the brake pedal is always loose, the shifter assembly is loose, the washer sprayers aren't the best, etc, etc

But then there's days where I sit back and look at it and it just look so unique! And then there are days where you drive by a group of young kids (younger than 16 who have no bias opinion yet) and they say "nice car!". And that just makes your day!

Sure I could go buy an 2008 Acura TSX and it would feel special until the day I pull up beside a guy also driving a 2008 Acura TSX :S Then i'd wonder how many of these things are on the road....

But if I pull up beside a guy with a 92 accord coupe exr I'd still feel special knowing there aren't that many around

I love my CB7 and have since the day I began modding it so to speak and want to keep it forever

But then I have those days when you fix one thing and than something else starts knocking or needs attention, I just want to get rid of it and purchase a car that's up to date that doesn't require constant maintance.

        When she's good, she's Good

When she's bad, it's a pain in the ass

I sit back and look as to how far I've come and can't grasp the concept of getting rid of it but the again......New is new, right ?
Sometimes you gotta let her go. As tough as it may seem at the time, letting go is healthy.

I didn't want to let either one of my cbs go, however rust in Iowa is forever growing. I am definitely happy with my overall decision, albeit I will have another cb coupe someday

this "love/hate" relationship became more of a HATE thing this past week with all the problems that decided to pop up on me. first I have a hose that busted 2 weeks ago and had to have the damn thing towed home (by someone who claimed they knew what they were doing but was totally fucking CLUELESS. NEVER AGAIN) and then after I replaced the hose, another problem, it was still overheating even with a new hose and new radiator cap. turns out I have a blown head gasket around the water jacket and had to put some of that "blue devil" garbage into it. I hate adding additives but being dead broke, I couldn't afford to just do the head gasket. the parts alone were too much money. I was so ready to drive the fucker into a lake and claim someone stole it and then dumped it.............
1997 Ford Explorer V-6 AT (what a piece of junk)
1993 Nissan Sentra M/T (front end damage, off road for now)
          1999 Mercury Mountaineer V-8 A/T - RIP (rolled: totaled)
1992 Honda Accord A/T EX - RIP (transmission shot: sold to junkyard)

I've got a new Chevy truck in the yard, and I'd rather drive my cb9 with no a/c. It's just more comfortable, I've rebuilt all the suspension, so it dosent squeak or rattle, and of course I love the sound system. It's so bad I bought the truck 3 weeks ago (2010 silverado) and have drove it twice, hell I put it on craigslist this morning. So I wouldn't say love/hate, I know it's a 20+ year old car. So I'll replace stuff even if it isn't needed.
