good stuff. Sorry it happened. Good call on the Plasma. When I was shopping for my first big tv, It was between LED and Plasma.

I couldn't justify the extra G for an LED, when everything said Plasma has the better picture, especially for movies. Led's are just brighter. Plasma has better viewing angles too!

Got me a 60'' LG 3d Plasma and It's awesome!

I have a 47'' LED in my bedroom, since we just use it to fall asleep.

All my gaming/movie/serious tv is done on teh Plasma.

I need another LED for the living room so that when people crash, they can watch tv lol.

This TV was brought up on Gizmodo.
Now it doesnt have a tuner built in, but it has a 1 year warnt.
And from all the reviews so far, she has an amazing picture.
If I could afford to spend 1500 for a Tv, this would be it.
But I am ether getting a 50" or 42" 720p plasma. Its all I need right now, and I dont have cable, I stream everything off the net or from my HTPC.

It's not that we're too into our devices, some of us are just quality snobs.

If quality doesn't matter, then any tv would do.

When I was aquiring devices for my family room, I wanted the best bang for my hard earned buck, so that my family and I could relax and enjoy movies and HD tv at the it's best. Admittedly to them, it's all the same.

I, however, wanted to be able to enjoy 3d offerings if I wanted, I didn't really need the smart tv bs, but I did, however, want the ability to see my tv on the network so I could stream to it if I need.

Just a matter of quality research to get the results you want. I actually watch very little tv as it would happen, because being a new home owner, im constantly doing odd jobs around the house and my wife won't let me rest until they're done lmao.

I have a 37" Vizio 1080P that I've had for almost 5 years.

I don't feel that paying $1000+ for a TV is worth it. I'd rather spend that money on tools (i.e. something productive).

But then again, I'm a penny pincher when it comes to spending money.

i was thinking..and although a long stretch, perhaps the heat rising off your consoles over time messed with the tempering (probably china made shit, nothing against your stuff everything is made in china now) which lead it to fail..
