    Projects from around my house!

    I decided ill make a thread dedicated to thing's I do around my house(since that is all I do now).

    Im not modding the Accord or CR-V, and I don't have ass loads of money to dump into a project car or Computers or any other hobby of mine, so since I do get to dump money into my home, I figured I would post them up and offer advice/tips for other's who may have similar projects etc.


    So ill post pics when I get a minute.

    Right now im in the middle of redoing my kitchen window. The misses doesn't want blinds, so we are going to do curtains.....so I got the curtain rod setup but the wood framing the window was crappy....so I pulled it all down and got new faux wood which should last longer to replace it.

    Ill post pics when I take them lol.

          Ok so as promised-

          I redid the window moulding around my kitchen window because it was fucking tore up.

          So I replaced the trim and then put up a window treatment so we have some privacy. I'd have preferred blinds, but all in all I think it came out good.

                    they sell some window tinting film that kinda acts like a one way mirror (during the day anyway) and also helps keep the inside cooler. just saying if you wanted to dich the granny shawl deal.

                      That's exactly what I thought. What's up there now won't stop anyone from looking in.

                      I have some really think fabric over mine. Blocks all the light.

                      37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
                      30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
                      27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

                            Being that i work around it and understand its benefits

                            Air sealing and adding more insulation to your attic would be a great way to improve your house and save a decent chunk of change on your heating/cooling bills

                            What year was your house built? Looking at those windows i'm going to guess in the 60's? I'm not the best guesstimator though.

                              My house was built in 64 and has very similar finished cabinets.


                              Nice job yo. Just did a bunch of work this weekend as well. Always feels good to bang something out and reflect.
