I find these things randomly around the house, mostly near the kitchen.

I've looked online, but to no avail.

I've heard them referred to as "pantry pests" but idk wtf that is lol.

Anyway any ideas?

i get those all the time here. At first i thought they were huge fleas and then bed bugs but an exterminator confirmed they were just carpet beetles.

I figured it out after I posted this thread....and forgot to post that I figured it out lol.


Anyway, I have hardwood floors throughout my house....

We did add 3 BIG area rugs, one in the family room, one in the living room, and one in our master bedroom.

I guess they could have shipped with them....

I wish I knew which one....so I could have reported them fuckers.

Anyway for those that have them.....what do they do?

I read online that they cause a fuckload of damage....??!!?!

I actually had the exterminator over yesterday for an ant problem and he was the one who thought they might be pantry pests...

Im going to tell him they're carpet beetles so he can treat that shit.

They are really common and aren't too unusual. The foreclosed home across from me is infested with them.

They munch on carpet (insert joke), clothes, and fabrics.
The people who I know had them in their house they were damaging their leathers (sofa). They also like cereals, pasta, breads, flour, etc..

Treat with a product called Permacide P-1 (residual treatment).

I usually see them on the curtains or on the windows so i just smash them with a tissue and flush them. When im out of tissues i light them on fire.

There aren't a whole lot of them but idk where they are coming from because I find them in random places.....not all in one place...

I thought it was a cucumber beetle. When I was little I thought they were just green ladybugs.
