My belief on what "the right to bear arms" means...

In and during the time this was written, it was above all that "we the people" run this country not a tyrannical goverment. The second amendment is not about the right to just carry guns. It's about giving we the people the ability to defend the consitution from enemies foreign and domestic(even from our own citizens/goverment).

@ Geoffm - It's about technology. Example 1. Lets say we're using muskets vs an army equiped with silenced m4a1s. Example 2. You have a single fire .22 pistol, someone breaks into you'r home with a Mac10... well i think you get it now. The losing team is going to wish they had better weapons. No matter what the weapon you must stay either equal or ontop to ensure ones safety.

I think we should kill the conversation, since we have a 13 page thread about this already.

We can revive that thread, but this was made just for voting.

Honestly, I could have predicted the results.

On a forum based in the US, the majority was not going to vote for more restrictions LOL.
More people voted no then I thought. It's not bad to have actual numbers though.

More often then not, when a news story breaks, and continues reporting along the same lines, I think about what bullshit it is.
It often seems that the news is reporting based on the general feel of the population, which often leads me to wonder WTF is wrong with us.

A thread like this seems to show that the news isn't reporting based on the general feel of the population. Rather, they're reporting based off of something else.
